Abbreviated Book Blurb

The war for Canada’s survival begins with a single, shocking act.

In a bold move for global dominance, U.S. President Jefferson Harland orders the invasion of Greenland. With no resistance, Navy SEALs seize Nuuk, and the American flag is raised within an hour. Harland claims it’s a strategic necessity, but the world sees the truth — a test run for annexation.

Canada is next.

Prime Minister Geneviève Lacroix refuses to surrender. As Harland wages economic warfare through crushing tariffs and cyberattacks, she builds alliances to counter American aggression. But Harland’s true plan is insidious — an orchestrated crisis designed to collapse Canada from within.

Resistance is growing.

True North, Strong and Free (TNSF), a nationalist movement, fights back. Lenny Bishop, a former RCMP officer, rallies citizens against U.S. interference, while Natalie Cheng, a brilliant economist, counters American disinformation and protects Canada’s financial stability.

Meanwhile, inside the FBI, Special Agent Elliot Kane plays a deadly game. As the new mole for the Pro-Democracy Movement (PDM), he uncovers Harland’s greatest vulnerability: billionaire Grant Winthrop, the President’s most powerful ally, who controls the U.S. government’s financial system.

A Few of My Bookmarks

Regarding the invasion of Greenland, supposedly in response to targeting by adversaries who seek to exploit its strategic location:

“By the time the message reached Copenhagen, the American flag had already been raised. The invasion had taken one hour.”

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (one of the people on the Greenland attack force) responds to Denmark’s insistence that the attack was an act of war:

“What the hell are they gonna do? Throw snowballs at us?”

An observation about the President of the United States:

He did not see himself as just a president. He saw himself as a conqueror.

A quote from Brant Winthrop, the billionaire supporter of the presidency:

“We’re terminating FBI officials hostile to the presidency and Justice Department lawyers who tried to prosecute you. They’ll be replaced within a month. Law and order will be … redefined.”

My Comments

This is fiction. However, Landry doesn’t pull any punches with his analogies. The writing came across to me like a blend of fiction and facts that became more compelling as the plot progressed.

The book ends with a “Post Note.” Chilling. Possible. Probable? You decide. It certainly made me raise my eyebrows.

I enjoyed the story, and I’ll be sure to read more of Keith Landry’s books.
